Great Meadow Polo Club

Shenandoah River State Park
This beautiful park is on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River and has more than 1,600 acres along 5.2 miles of shoreline. In addition to meandering river frontage, the park offers scenic views of Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east. A large riverside picnic area, picnic shelters, trails, river access and a car-top boat launch make this a popular destination for families, anglers and canoeists.
The Fauquier History Museum at the Old Jail
Built in 1808, the front portion of the jail originally contained four cells, each of which was approved to house 40 prisoners. This is one of the most perfectly preserved old jails in the Commonwealth, and was operated as a jail until 1966.
Today, it’s a history museum focusing on the histories of the Town of Warrenton, Fauquier County, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Mosby Museum
A Colonel in the Confederate Army, John S. Mosby lived for a time in what is now Old Town Warrenton, in a classic Italian Villa-style home now named Brentmoor. The Mosby Museum Management Board Offices and Gift Shop are located just behind the museum in the Visitor Center.
National Battlefield Park
If you’re a history buff, you can’t miss a visit to the site where southern victories tested northern resolve.
