Poplar Springs is offering a complimentary wedding on Sunday, October 15, 2017 for a lucky couple, expenses paid for up to 50 guests (terms and conditions apply, see below).

The competition entry period runs from Monday, June 26, 2017 at 12 p.m., and ends Friday, July 28, 2017 at 12 p.m. The contest is sponsored in part by select vendors and Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant. 


How to Enter:

Step 1: Submit a photograph of you and your fiancé along with a paragraph describing your proposal (no more than 500 words) to info@poplarspringsinn.com

Step 2: Wait to be notified that you have qualified for this giveaway via email.

Rules & Eligibility

Only those eligible will be allowed to enter the complimentary wedding competition. This contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and at least one member of each couple must be a resident of the Virginia, Maryland and D.C. area. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees of the Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant, any persons involved in the creation, development or implementation of this contest and any other persons or entities directly associated with this contest and any members of their immediate families or households are ineligible to participate. Additionally, weddings booked prior to June 26, 2017 at Poplar Springs are not eligible. 

Contest entries must be received prior to the expiration of the contest entry period. Entrants agree to abide by these official rules and all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations that govern contests when submitting an entry form. THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER THE CONTEST OR WIN. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Only couples who are engaged to be married may enter to win. The winner of this contest must agree with and abide by all the participating sponsors’ availability, schedules and guidelines and Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant instructions. The package cannot be transferred, in part or in whole, and has no cash value. The package covers up to *50 Guests, Venue and Rentals, Invitations, Catering, Decor, DJ, Photographer, Floral Design, Wedding Favors, Wedding Cake, Wedding Dress, Honeymoon overnight stay at Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant.

* Winner is able to pay an up-charge fee should the winner wish to have more guests in attendance. 

What is not included: Alcohol, Videographer, Groomsmen Attire, Bridesmaid Attire, any other Bridal Party Attire.

If the contest winner violates any part of these rules, including refusing to abide by the terms and conditions of the participating vendors, the contest winner will forfeit the award at the sole discretion of Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant. 

In the event of a forfeiture, Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant may award to the runner-up as determined at the close of the entry period (see, “How and When Winners Will Be Selected” below). By entering, all entrants and the contest winner further agree they will not act in any manner that harms the reputation or business relationships of Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant or any of the participating vendors.

How and When Winners Will Be Selected
Entrants may submit their entry of a photograph of the engaged couple, and a paragraph describing the engagement of no more than 500 words to info@poplarspringsinn.com  

Once entrants submission has been accepted, the entrant will be notified by email with further instructions and qualifications and then is required to complete the following steps:

– Follow on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook the list of select vendors (the list to provided of select vendors). 

Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant reserves the right to alter the selection process at any time during the contest as needed.

The top five entrants will be notified on Monday, July 31, 2017, agree to posted on various media platforms at which time the public are open to vote for their choice. The winner will be selected by a panel of 5 judges and media platform. Voting will be taken into consideration but is not the decider of the winner. 

The top five entrants will be invited to an announcement reception cocktail hour  on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 4 p.m.. Contest winner will be required to agree on the Terms of Use Release, Copyright Release, Liability Release and Terms of Condition. Noncompliance and inaccurate entry information will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be determined based on the criteria described above.

Participants must provide names, phone numbers and valid e-mail accounts. Poplar Springs Inn, Spa and Manor House Restaurant has reserved the right to review and reject any entry in its sole discretion for any purpose and reason without notifying the entrant. By submitting a entry, each entrant represents that they consent to the rules of the contest.
